Electrical Engineers at Lutron participate within a cross-functional team to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative, high-quality consumer products and services for commercial and residential use.
There are a variety of technical areas throughout the product lifecycle that you could encounter from day one, such as:
- Power electronics, power supply design, and electric motors
- Use of active components such as power MOSFETs, thyristors, and integrated circuits
- Design for electromagnetic compatibility, noise immunity, and thermal dissipation
- Analog circuit design, analysis, and verification
- Microcontroller hardware implementation
Responsibilities
- Design of circuits, including stress analysis, worst-case design, and testing
- Construction of prototypes, theoretical models, and simulations
- Frequent collaboration with RF, mechanical, and embedded engineers
- Participation in PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design process and product design reviews
- Design and qualification for internal, domestic, and international safety and standards
- Design for manufacturing, testing, and assembly, including tester development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering
- Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.0 for each degree earned
- 0-3 years' experience in a related field
- Willingness to travel 5-10% of the time for inter-office collaboration, site visits, etc.
