Department:                  New Start

Job Status:                      Full Time

FLSA Status:                   Exempt

Reports To:                     Managing Director of Residential Services

Position Supervises:    Family Coaches/Case Managers, Children’s Coordinator, and Data Specialist

Work Schedule:             Position requires flexible hours and rotation on an on-call schedule

Amount of Travel:        Some local and instate travel required for outreach and engagement purposes

POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Director is a resourceful, detail oriented, and collaborative team member with excellent client and management skills. This person is responsible for managing all aspects of a Federal Grant for pregnant and postpartum women struggling with addiction. They will develop structures and systems to successfully implement and manage all components of the Federal Grant.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENT(S)

  • Perform coordinate, supervisory and direct service tasks essential in the delivery of services for the Federal Grant.  
  • Provide leadership in creative program design, implementation and integration of services.
  • Coordinate regular meetings with grant staff.
  • Assist in the interviewing, hiring, supervision, training and evaluation of grant staff.
  • Ensure program specific orientation and training for new grant staff as well as ongoing training for current grant staff.
  • Outreach and engagement to vulnerable and underserved populations.
  • Recruit Steering Committee members and plan and facilitate, Steering Committee meetings according to grant guidelines.
  • Oversee fidelity of evidence-based practices and services.
  • Complete required grant and other reporting.
  • Monitor budget and expenditures.
  • Ensure program compliance with licensing, accreditation standards, health and safety requirements.
  • Work with independent evaluator to conduct thorough program evaluation and improvement.
  • Follow and use the A-TEAM Cultural Code.
  • Ensure that client files are in compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Assist in the development and review and updating of program materials as needed including handbooks, marketing materials, etc.
  • Work to ensure positive relationships with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Utilize electronic system for client records and ensure effective processes for maintaining documentation.
  • Ensure safe working conditions of equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health, fire and safety codes.
  • Ensure communication of facility needs to appropriate administrative staff.
  • Carryout other duties as requested.

POSITIONS QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:                              Bachelor’s Degree in health or human services field required; advanced degree preferred.

Experience:                            A minimum of two years of residential program management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:                                       Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance perspectives. Able to remain calm in escalated situations. Effective communication, appropriate boundaries, flexibility and willingness to learn are essential. Experience and knowledge of clients with mental health and/or substance use issues; experience in pregnancy, post-delivery, infant care and child development. Experience with American Indian populations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Certifications & Licenses:  CAC or LAC preferred.

Other Requirements:          Must have valid driver’s license and insurance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, manually manipulate, reach outward and above shoulders, speak, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend on a daily basis.
  • Capability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 100lbs on a daily basis.
