Job description

The Logistics Support Specialist, working closely with the Director of Logistical Precision, prepares comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for assigned projects. Performs various coordinating tasks to include schedules and deliverables, including but not limited to the maintenance of project documentation and financial requests/queries. Collaborates with external and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines. Ensures assigned projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards. Provides overall support to the KHA Director of Logistical Precision with day-to-day activities and projects to ensure smooth operation of the KHA Onboarding & Logistics departments. Performs diverse administrative and support functions for a variety of KHA logistics initiatives. Uses diplomacy, discretion, and good judgment in problem solving, triaging assignments and in dealing with internal and external customers. Demonstrates the ability to coordinate complex projects, gather data, and prepare reports and power point presentations. Ensures confidentiality in the conduct of department business due to the sensitive nature of the information managed in the department.
Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in the realm of project management highly desirable.
  • Experience negotiating pricing and finalizing contractual terms for delivery.
  • Abilities to handle various administrative tasks simultaneously and to prioritize accordingly.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Detail orientation and the ability to think critically and outside the norm.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and work under time constraints.
  • Willingness to learn, be open and take on new responsibilities.
  • Able to compile and manipulate data and format reports, charts, and design spreadsheets
