Job Summary
Our Construction Management team is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist (Scheduler) in Philadelphia, PA. The candidate will develop and manage the project schedules for a large impactful Design Build project. This position will be full time working at the 1700 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA
Responsibilities & Qualifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Schedule Development and Management: Create comprehensive project baseline schedules using Primavera P6 for large Design-Build project. These schedules should accurately reflect all phases of project development, from initial design to final construction.
  • Schedule Maintenance: Regularly update project schedules to reflect actual construction progress, changes in scope, and any other relevant factors. Regularly conduct schedule update meetings to gather schedule update data and understand changes to schedule.
  • Schedule Impact Analysis: use diffident methods (time impact analysis, windows analysis, etc.) to perform prospective and retrospective schedule delay analysis to evaluate, analyze, and produce reports for change order or delay events. Develop project schedules and fragnets based on drawings, contract documents, and verbal direction.
  • Schedule Integration: work with the subcontractors to integrate their schedules into the master design build schedule.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure schedules are realistic and achievable. Facilitate schedule-related discussions and provide expert advice on potential impacts and adjustments.
  • Tracking and Reporting: Monitor project progress against the schedule, identify deviations, and report on these to relevant stakeholders. Provide detailed analysis and insights on schedule performance.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project timelines are adhered to.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external contractors to ensure schedule alignment and effective communication across all project facets.
  • Technology Utilization: Leverage advanced scheduling software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in schedule creation and maintenance.
  • Produce schedule reports, narrative reports, dashboard reporting, etc.
  • Perform what-if scenario analyses as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BS in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated construction project scheduling experience (at least 10-15 years preferred).
  • Understanding of construction scheduling processes required.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs required.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand concise directions and take appropriate actions.
  • Certifications with PMI or AACEI is also preferable.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve toughest challenges.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Philadelphia area.
