Project includes three 8-month solar training programs, including a five-week intensive on-site (Pine Ridge) training period, followed by ongoing mentorships, and assisting getting our graduates jobs with our project partners.
Salary $75-85K/year DOE + 8 paid holidays, plus 15 days off per year that can be carried over for a maximum of 30 days from year to year
Responsibilities:
-Provide oversight at the strategic level, as they work with various partners and vendors in different states
-Manage shared resources from three funders to complete the project deliverables on time and within budget
-Invoice and report as work is completed
-Monitor and report on both financial and programmatic project milestones and tasks within the Statement of Project Objectives (SOPO)
-Provide updates on progress and any significant deviations from the plans as well as any evolving project risks
-Be innovative and develop solutions to obstacles and problems that may come up to better assure positive project outcomes
-Make sure projects are aligned with overall company strategic goals and objectives of the organization and, if not, revise plan to make them so
-Oversee all project implementation related to project management, including recruiting participants, monitoring and reporting, financial transactions, execution of project plans and performance
-Establish and supervise all procurement procedures and processes to meet federal regulations
-Ensure the project delivers specified results and meets quality expectations
-Create and manage project budget
-Oversee deliverables including meeting recruitment goals, providing childcare and travel stipends, monitoring mentoring schedule, and job placement activities
-Develop and adapt timeline to assure milestones are completed for projects
-Monitor finances to ensure we keep to the budget and recommend changes to keep projects on track
-Make alternative plans if initial project planning is inadequate
-Make presentations on the project to the Department of Energy (DOE), but also at conferences and other venues
-Review, approve or deny project change proposals
-Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects
-Track planned effort against actual effort and make changes as needed
-Identify and mitigate project risks to avoid delays and cost overruns
-Analyze project performance and provide feedback and recommendations

Skills:
-Knowledge of and experience or willingness to learn billing and reporting on federal contracts (e.g. ASAP, PAGE)

Qualifications:
-Bachelor degree in a relevant field. Advanced degree preferred
-5 years of experience in a project management leadership position
-Background of conducting regular reviews to ensure all project activities are accountable, accurate, and meet financial deliverables and obligations
-Experience following contractual obligations and complying with donor or funder regulations and internal organizational policies
-Proven ability to lead project meetings and lead teams to maintain high-quality work
-Proficiency in MS Office programs, especially Excel
