Programs Field Representative
H11A AFS Annual Salary $52,642.81 + Full State Employee Benefits
Travel is occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
This is a hybrid work position. In person training will be provided.
Preferred Minimum Qualifications
- A master’s degree and three years of professional experience in social work, child support, adult protective services, child welfare, early childhood development and education, guidance and counseling, nursing, intellectual disability, probation and parole, public administration, community-based prevention and diversionary youth services programs, juvenile justice, rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation or vocational rehabilitation;
- OR an equivalent combination and experience, substituting 1 additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
- Professional experience in the fields listed must have been the primary job responsibility to be considered as qualifying. Incidental performance of professional work in any area(s) shall not be considered.
Job Duties
- This position will assist the program administrative lead for the Refugee Assistance Program. Worker will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations surrounding the refugee assistance program and the multiple programs that fall under the refugee assistance umbrella.
- This individual will work directly with OHS Contracts and Purchasing, the ORR, and leadership to establish the services eligible refugees are able to receive.
- Tasks will include building agreements and creation of contracts with partnering entities, as approved by OHS Contracts and Purchasing and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).
- Work will also include federal data collection and reporting as pertains to the aforementioned refugee contracts.
- This position will additionally focus on adding to the state’s capacity to resettle refugees in safe and sustainable ways, while mitigating potential risks (e.g., human trafficking).
- This position calls for strong communications skills. The ability to readily communicate, coordinate, cooperate, and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders is imperative.
Thorough knowledge of the following is preferred:
- DHS and ORR funded programs for which refugees and other ORR-eligible populations are eligible
- Code of federal regulations (i.e., 45 CFR 400 Refugee Resettlement Program)
- Experience with contract monitoring and budgeting
- Experience in refugee resettlement through an LRA or refugee provider
