Nature of Work:
Creates, inputs and distributes various forms of program scheduling information for the network and communicates information to and from the network's internal departments, program suppliers and TV listing services.
Examples of work performed:
  • Accurate and timely data entry of programming information into Wide Orbit scheduling system.
  • Type, issue and update monthly program schedules on a weekly basis.
  • Primary programming liaison with Wide Orbit scheduling & traffic software vendor.
  • Generate and issue program schedule changes as needed.
  • Understand the scheduling process and audience flow as it related to maximizing our content by making recommendations on program schedule placement and replacement strategies.
  • Participate in program acquisition process.
  • Create and issue weekly Daily Fill programming coverage instructions.
  • Rectify traffic and technical operations issues as requested.
  • Input daily scheduling data into Nielsen ENames rating website.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum
    1. High school diploma.
    2. 2+ years' experience in related media, communications or scheduling field.
    3. Some experience in a general office or administrative environment to include spreadsheet and word processing functions or equivalent combination of both.
    4. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
    5. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Preferred
    1. BA/BS in related media, communications, journalism or marketing field.
    2. Experience with Wide Orbit scheduling software a plus.
    3. Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver's license and meet company vehicle driving standards.

  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively orally, and in writing, with people at many levels within the company as well as with vendors, clients, etc.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Knowledge and interest in sports a plus.

Compensation:
  • Wage: $22.12 - $24.03 hourly
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
