A Day in the Life of the Program Therapist - OP:
  1. You will provide individual/group/family therapy, therapeutic interventions, and mental health clinical assessments to clients in school/community/home settings, while maintaining financial viability of the program.
  2. You be involved in peer supervisions, whether individually or in a group setting, as directed by supervisor.
  3. Intervene in a crisis in a calm appropriate manner that maintains staff and youth safety.
  4. You will complete, submit, and verify accuracy of paperwork including initial assessments, treatment plans, therapy notes, and other required clinical documentation for all services provided, while maintaining standards as set forth by the Administrators.
  5. You will establish and maintains effective working relationships with treatment team members and stakeholders and engage in regular communication through attendance and participation at treatment team meetings, staff meetings and clinical consultations.
  6. You will be involved in peer supervisions, whether individually or in a group setting, as directed by supervisor.
  7. You attend meetings and provides consultation to, and advocates for, clients with schools, participates in CST/IEP meetings as needed, coordinates services with community agencies, and cooperates with other providers to meet client and client system needs.
  8. You will maintain a flexible caseload and timely processing of referrals while being clinically responsible for all youth on caseload.
  9. You will maintain a working knowledge and understanding of Montana Medicaid and YBGR's Mental Health Center Licensure rules and regulations.
  10. You will frequently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as copier and printer.
  11. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
What You Need to Qualify:
  1. Education:
    1. Required: Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or similar field of study from an accredited university. (60 Credit Hour Program)
  2. License and/or Certification:
    1. Required: License to operate a passenger vehicle
    2. Minimum Requirement: Montana SWLC, or MFLC or PCLC
  3. Skills and Abilities
    1. Ability to relate and build rapport with youth and families therapeutically
    2. Ability to work in cooperation and collaboration with treatment team
    3. Ability to adhere to code of ethics including: The Child and Youth Worker Code of Ethics, The National Association of Social Worker Code and The American Psychological Association Code
    4. Ability and willingness to maintain and enhance clinical skill set
    5. Knowledge of and ability to maintain professional therapeutic boundaries and confidentiality with youth and families
    6. Knowledge of behavior modification and age appropriate child development
    7. Criminal / Child Abuse Clearance: Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana.

Additional Helpful Traits (non-required):
  1. Professional experience in clinical management within multi-disciplinary treatment team setting, child/adolescent diagnosing, and psychological assessment & treatment of children and adolescents.
