GENERAL SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of In-Home Services, the Program Registered Nurse is responsible for monitoring the quality and quantity of Personal Care Services in the program contracts in conjunction with the Assistant Vice President. The Program Nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services to adult consumers age 18 and older. Must demonstrate an understanding of the Independent Living philosophy of Home and Community Based Services.
Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the age-specific needs of the consumers served.
Type of supervision exercised: full. Jobs reporting to this position: (1) Training Manager.
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required, BSN preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience required.
Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience with Home Health Aides required.
SPECIAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a current license as a Registered Nurse issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners required.
Valid PA drivers license and available transportation during all working hours required.
Good verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills required for effective communication with staff, employees, consumers and external agencies.
Must demonstrate a clear understanding of the goals of In-Home Services.
