This role is based remotely, but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Pontiac, or Milford, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.

The Role:

GMD is currently seeking a Program Planning and Integration Lead to join our team and support growth of a start-up business! The Program Planning and Integration Lead will lead the design and implementation of the program cost, schedule performance, controls standards and structures for GMD.

We are seeking someone who has deep knowledge and expertise in both program management and program financials that can support other organizational financial Planning and analysis needs. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of Program Control, including establishing standards and structures from the proposal phase through execution. Additionally, the candidate must be comfortable working in a start-up organization. The position requires both strategic and transactional leadership with a cross-functional team.

What You'll Do:

  • Development of program and project level WBS, including alignment to Project Hierarchies, Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS) and Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM)

  • Lead and oversee the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process and reviews with program teams

  • Lead and oversee the Baseline Management process, including Undistributed Budget, Risk Reserve, and Change Management

  • Establish an EAC governance process through coordination with risk and compliance functions

  • Working closely with business FP&A to provide analysis and support for yearly business plans, monthly and quarterly forecasts and analysis and establish Forward Pricing Rate Proposals (FPRP)

  • Develop quarterly financial reviews, status updates and other financial and operational performance metrics for leadership review

  • Develop and perform processes for establishing, monitoring, and integrating project elements

  • Identifying, tracking, and mitigating program risk, issue and opportunity

  • Provide variance analysis of project performance metrics (e.g., revenue, costs, profit, schedule) and track milestone billing forecasts and schedules

Additional Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, accounting, or other business degree

  • 10+ years defense or government program or financial management experience, to include Program Cost, Schedule & Controls, Financial Planning & Analysis, Budgets & Rates, Earned Value

  • 5+ years in team management

  • Program Planning and control system experience

  • U.S. Government contracting experience

  • SAP ERP experience

  • Understanding of project accounting and Estimate at Completion requirements

  • Outstanding financial acumen blended with business partnership and leadership

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to attract, retain and develop exceptional talent

  • Broad business-oriented thinker with a global perspective, capable of delivering world-class results against aggressive goals and stretch targets

  • Proven track record of process improvement and experience with financial systems and process change initiatives

PLEASE NOTE:

This role subject to U.S. export control restrictions. Successful candidates must either be a U.S. Person (defined by U.S. law as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) or a non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required export control authorization.

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience

  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-881

  • Knowledge of EVMS EIA-748

  • Knowledge of the DoD Risk, Issue and Opportunity Management Guide for Defense Acquisition Programs

Compensation:

The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington. 

  • The salary range for this role is $116,100 - $181,600. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual 
    performance.
