Program Officer I- Data Quality Coordinator

General Description

This position will support and conduct activities at the direction of the Data Quality Coordinator for the Nevada State Immunization Program’s (NSIP) statewide immunization information system (IIS),Nevada WebIZ. This individual will work with a diverse group of internal and external partners and stakeholders to carry out both corrective and preventative Data Quality interventions on incoming and existing data in the IIS, with the goal of improving and assuring IIS Data Quality. This position is located in either Las Vegas or Carson City and is expected to work in the office three (3) days per week and telecommute two (2) days per week (subject to change).

Responsibilities and Standards

• At the direction of the Data Quality Coordinator, assess Nevada’s IIS Data Quality (including, but not limited to accuracy, timeliness, and completeness);

• Collaborate with the Data Quality Coordinator on the development, implementation and maintenance of written Data Quality protocols and procedures;

• Conduct data analysis (with regard to Data Quality aspects);

• Investigate and resolve Data Quality issues identified by NSIP staff, working directly with vaccine provider office staff;

• Assist the Data Quality Coordinator in measuring the impact of Data Quality interventions;

• Participate in meetings as needed to meet Data Quality improvement needs;

• Engage and coordinate with numerous partners, including medical providers and other IIS stakeholders, as well as NSIP and other Division/Department staff.

Requirements ( Education, experience and/or professional licensure)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, or other discipline related to the program assignment; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and two (2) years of para-professional program support experience equivalent to an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service which required the application of State and/or federal laws, policy and procedures; reviewing documents prepared by others for program compliance determinations; or preparing reports which summarize financial and statistical information; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $20.97 per hour
