Wall Street Bound (WSB) is looking for a full time Program Manager to support the Founder & CEO as a key team member of a startup workforce development nonprofit with a growing presence in the market. The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing end to end program execution, administration, data tracking and outreach for the organization. The position reports directly to the Head of Operations. Only candidates with backgrounds on Wall Street or financial services will be considered and those with commercial online learning programs or business development backgrounds are highly preferred.
This position requires regular student contact, assessment of their needs, and the development of strategies to ensure their success during and post program completion. Other key duties include data collection, organization of events and activities, and the coordination of student teams within our programs. This position works closely with the Chief Learning Officer, and reports to the Head of Operations.
We are a small and entrepreneurial organization so it is important that the selected candidate is able to work and thrive in an unstructured work environment and brings a commercial mindset to the job. The WSB Team is presently fully remote, but may move to a 1-2 days/week hybrid model in 2024.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
- Provide leadership and coordination in support of robust recruitment, admissions, training, career development, job placement, and alumni engagement with a goal of meeting annual KPIs and supporting a dynamic, strong training operation for each training
- Working closely with the Operations Manager and the volunteer program team to oversee enrollment, graduation, certification and placement KPIs across training/programs, ensuring that each meet org-wide training KPIs, as well as delivering against all employer-specific and funder-specific training commitments
Student Success
- Conduct regular check-ins and reviews with students to assess progress, and identify areas of support required for program completion and industry certification attainment
- Provide personalized, one-on-one support and strategic consultation to students and alumni
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address student issues and improve the overall student experience
- Tracking attendance and punctuality during program sessions
- Help create, drive, and monitor the use of performance measures and KPIs related to student success
- Collect, verify, and monitor the integrity of data collected and reported to leadership
- Support campus recruiting efforts by coordinating with WSB recruiting, operations, and program staff
Organization Mission and Strategy
- Support the day-to-day operations and logistical needs of WSB programming
- Initiate and lead brainstorming sessions around student success for the org
- Contribute to WSB success by actively participating in strategic planning, communications, events, and operational activities as may be required from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor's Degree
- One or more years financial services industry experience
- Ability to effectively communicate the organization’s mission to donors, volunteers and the overall community
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies with diverse cultural backgrounds
- A track record of developing and maintaining strong working relationships with and among a diverse group of students
- Proven experience of succeeding in a performance based work culture
- Prior experience working on multi-faceted projects in a fast-paced work environment
- Able to juggle competing demands and prioritize without sacrificing quality
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- A proven commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and more specifically, the WSB Mission
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using Salesforce, Asana and Slack
- Previous human-centered, project management experience
- Experience working with students
This position is a year-round schedule and will include some weekend and evening hours
