The Film Content Strategy and Business Development department is a highly visible group that works closely with high-profile management across Comcast and NBCUniversal worldwide. The group works in conjunction with other business units within the Filmed Entertainment Group of NBCU on a wide range of strategic initiatives.
The Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) is the motion picture division of NBCUniversal, one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies. UFEG develops, produces, markets and distributes feature films on a worldwide basis across all consumer platforms. UFEG’s films are released under several owned film labels that include Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Illumination and DreamWorks. We are seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of GreenerLightProgram Manager. This position will manage sustainability processes for content development and filmmaking across UFEG. Specific projects will include managing the newly launched GreenerLight Program to incorporate sustainability within the development, greenlight, production and post-release processes. This role would report to the Director, Sustainable Content & Partnerships.
** Essential Responsibilities:**
Day to day project management for the GreenerLight Program from script to screen:
- Develop, maintain, and communicate tracker reports and updates for executives, showing title progress across sustainability goals and program categorizations
- Manage classification of in-development projects into program categories, add to the Production Status Report
- Prepare GreenerLight one-pagers for inclusion in greenlight packages
- Organize and track sustainability script reviews with internal & external partners
- Review scripts for sustainability opportunities and compile feedback
- Create & update one-sheets and other valuable tools for talent & filmmakers
- Compile questions & coordinate lists and schedules for EPK capturing across productions in partnership with the Digital Content team
- Manage & update sustainability-focused talent & filmmaker list
- Track Creative Content Days/Press Junkets, as well as Film Releases for Market Research
- Support in rolling out impact campaigns & PSAs tied to titles
- Arrange Title Kickoff Calls, Term Deal Presentations, and Post-Mortems for final GreenerLight reviews
- Provide resources to Joint Ventures and Third Party productions as needed
- Stay up to date on sustainable production resources and solutions
Overall Sustainability Support:
- Help to coordinate presentations, speaker series, lunch & learns, and more to engage employees, filmmakers, and talent
- Organize, support, and/or attend industry climate storytelling/filmmaker events, such as Writers Labs and summits
- Organize update calls across project pillars and climate ambassadors. Monitor KPIs.
- Support GreenerLight communications including employee newsletters, blog posts, videos, etc
- Support partnerships & initiatives that span across all of NBCUniversal Studio Group
- Stay up to date on Film Sustainability industry initiatives and coalitions (such as Sustainable Production Alliance)
Partnering with the NBCU Sustainability Team to:
- Ensure Sustainability team is supported on production kick-off calls
- Serve as liaison as needed between UFEG departments & Sustainability team
- Develop progress & KPI tracking across all productions and benchmarks
Qualifications
- The individual must possess the ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of management, ranging from senior corporate executives to business unit managers and third parties
- Proven project management skills
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 3+ years relevant industry experience (sustainability experience, ideally in the entertainment industry). Production experience a plus.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to author and deliver high quality presentations
- Strong at Excel, PowerPoint, Canva
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
