The Arc of Indian River County is a nonprofit serving and advocating for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Position Summary:

The ADT Manager is responsible for supporting and supervising the Adult Day Training program. This includes scheduling and implementing an interactive, engaging, and meaningful life skills curriculum. Assists the Director of Adult Day Training in the program’s planning and management to ensure clients achieve maximum independence. Manage responsibilities include training and supervising direct care staff and developing, implementing, and overseeing individualized and meaningful group activities for clients in each program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support, supervision, and evaluation of services to team members.
  • Assist in lesson planning and brainstorming lesson plans that assist clients in achieving their personal life skills goals in various areas, including social skills, life skills, employment, and housing.
  • Provide direct care and support to clients by teaching, engaging, enriching, or encouraging them daily, which may be counted as part of the supervision ratio to satisfy compliance requirements.
  • Assist with completing agency reports and data requirements for funders and grants.
  • Conduct weekly meetings and brainstorming sessions with team members.
  • Assist with intakes and tours of potential new clients, potential funders, family members, etc.
  • Maintain constant communication and effective working relationships with family members, WSCs, and other client support professionals.
  • Assist in the execution such as the planning, budgeting, and ordering Items of items needed for large events on campus.
  • Assist in the scheduling and performing of community outings.
  • Manage and oversee the review and approval process of timecards for team members, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Develop and formulate coverage calendars to ensure adequate staffing levels for all program activities and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of staff schedules, time off requests, and staffing assignments to facilitate efficient operations and ensure ratio compliance required by APD.
  • Assist the ADT Director in completing required program billing and documentation for program participants required by all funders and in accordance with agency procedures.
  • Assist the ADT Director in any programmatic task administered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of human behaviors, individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning, and motivation.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor and willingness to cooperate with all team members.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Verbal and correspondence skills with all levels of staff members, clients, family members, WSCs, and other professionals.
  • Identify concerns, generate and evaluate alternate solutions, and make sound recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment with guidance from the program director.
  • Ability to use copier, scanner, and other office equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and other software as required.
  • Outstanding Leadership and management skills

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social science or related field preferred. A high school diploma with at least three (3) years of experience is required.
  • Must possess and maintain a current Florida Driver’s License and the ability to meet the standards for FDOT certification as a condition of employment.
