Program Driver:
Part Time 15-20 hours a week with on call responsibilities
PURPOSE:
Functions as part of a therapeutic team providing support in a rehabilitative program to individuals residing in a Transitional Living Program and/or Emergency Youth Shelter Program. This position, Program Driver, provides safe driving services during the transportation of youth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
- Exemplifies an attitude and behavior that models the organization’s values to staff, program participants, service providers, and the community at large.
- Administrative Support:
- Pick up bi-weekly food bank orders at Greater Pittsburgh Area Foodbank.
- Pick up monthly Sam’s Club orders.
- Transport Youth
- Transport youth to outpatient appointments
- Routine transport of youth to/from school
- Transport youth to/from court as needed.
- Transport youth to/from non-emergent medical care
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENT: Specific Education, Certification, and/or Licensure:
A high school diploma or GED.
Must be 25 years of age or older.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must have possessed a valid driver’s license for at least three years.
No “at fault” accidents in the last three years.
- ESSENTIAL JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:
CPR/1st Aid Certification (company will provide training)
Basic Computer skills - PREFERRED JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Basic computer experience
Basic office skills for recording travel - ORIENTATION:
Complete both online and in-person training
Complete company-sponsored driving safety course
- YEARLY TRAINING:
40 hours mandated by OCYF.

Safe Crisis Management
PA Medication Administration
- CLEARANCES:
FBI Clearance: (Completed every 3 years)
PA State Police Background: (Completed every 3 years)
PA Child Abuse Clearance (Completed every 3 years)
Physical and TB Test (Completed Every two years)

Position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule.
