Job Summary:
As the Program Director of our Naturally Occurring Retirement Community (NORC) Program, you will maintain the pre-eminence and offer leadership in recognizing the unique NORC model and the evolving needs of older adults aging in place by providing training to the NORC case managers and demonstrate intensive case management and healthcare coordination services to clients with severe or special needs. You will regularly develop, coordinate, implement, and administer various ongoing educational, health, social, and cultural programs. You will lead and manage team members, clients, and the community while implementing and evaluating programs and projects.
Qualifications:
- Masters in Social Work and active New York State LMSW/LCSW required
- SIFI certification or eligibility preferred
- Bilingual (Chinese/Cantonese or Spanish) a plus
- Experience in working in government-funded programs
- Experience with mental health and health issues confronting the elderly
- Advanced knowledge of benefits, entitlements and resources
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office
Responsibilities:
- Administrative oversight of the Henry Street Settlement NORC (Naturally Occurring Retiring Community) Program, monitor the budget, and develop realistic service goals.
- Provide direct supervision to program staff and student interns, volunteers, and nurses.
- Monitor staff performances to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Assist and supervise outreach efforts to increase participation in the NORC Program.
- Plan and coordinate recreational and educational groups sponsored by the NORC Program.
- Develop content for the monthly NORC newsletter.
- Oversee ongoing community needs assessments and tailor/build programming in response to these findings.
- Attend monthly NORC Partners meetings and trainings with outside agencies as needed.
- Develop a collaborative relationship with funding sources and key stakeholders.
- Oversee and coordinate education and recreation programs and healthcare services.
- Collaborate with other OAS programs on joint events.
