RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF FAMILY ENGAGEMENT:
- Develops and directs high quality family member engagement strategies and programs which support branch and Association goals, and strategies.
- Coordinates and leads family member engagement programs including, but not limited to: Kids Club, Parent's Night Out, Esports, Ninja Gym, Rockwall, and others as prescribed by leadership.
- Recruits, hires, trains, develops, and directs employees and volunteers. Reviews and evaluates staff
- performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
- Develops, manages, and monitors assigned operating budgets to meet or exceed targets. Recommends adjustments to the budget to ensure balanced operation and submits reports on current operations.
- Direct leadership of branch part-time employees.
- Establishes plans for the expansion of programs and services, in harmony with overall YMCA objectives and the leadership team.
- Provides staff support for assigned committees. Provides staff leadership for annual support campaign.
- Ability and willingness to provide programs on weeknight and weekends.
- Serves as a participating member in cabinet meetings.
- Serves as a member of YMCA management and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE A PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF FAMILY ENGAGEMENT:
- Minimum age of 21.
- Minimum of two years in Family Engagement services, membership services, marketing, sales, and/or customer services.
- Working knowledge of computers and office machines.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, on telephone, and through email.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations including members, peers/co-workers, supervisors, and volunteers.
- Ability to learn and retain information related to programs, services, and membership options.
- Ability to handle conflict management in a positive manner.
- Ability to coordinate and plan events and activities.
- Ability to lead staff team.
