NWF’s Offshore Wind Energy Program sits within the Climate & Energy Program and works to advance the responsible development of Offshore Wind power off of the East Coast, West Coast, and Gulf Coast. We advocate at the federal, state, and local levels to establish and implement ambitious Offshore Wind commitments and to ensure stringent wildlife protections, strong labor standards, community benefits, and stakeholder engagement are in place every step of the way.

To support our mission, the Program Coordinator, Offshore Wind Energy will provide administrative, operational, and organizational support to the Offshore Wind Energy team. Reporting to the Senior Director, this role will handle a wide range of responsibilities that support fundraising, event planning, data-management, internal and external communications work of the full team.

Your major areas of responsibility:

  • Administrative support:
    • Manage administrative functions in support of the Offshore Wind Energy team, including meeting coordination, event planning, contract support, note-taking, data-management, etc.
    • Help to facilitate hiring, on-boarding, and team-building activities.
    • Manage logistical details for team travel and meetings, as needed.
  • Communications:
    • Support the preparation of presentation materials for meetings, events, and speaking engagements for the team.
    • Support the creation and maintenance of website and other digital content.
    • Develop and edit correspondence to funders and partners.
    • Develop and disseminate content for internal communications.
  • Team support
    • Support team members with meeting coverage and report-outs.
    • Support team members with research, writing, and editing projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Strong candidates for this position will have the following proficiencies:

  • Two or more years of professional experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a multiple-task work environment, work independently, set priorities and follow them through to completion, with excellent attention to detail and strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Travel Requirements:

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $50,000-$55,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
