QUALIFICATIONS:
- Program assistant training, experience, or equivalent is desired.
- Must be capable of using good judgment in working with special needs students and the instructional staff assigned to the program
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist students who are learning English as a second language, with limited English proficiency, in designated classes which could include but are not limited to, English Language Development (ELD ) Level 1, EL Intervention, ELD through US History Topics, ELD through US History and mainstream biology classes; in the assigned classes, circulate among the students to monitor their attention to the teacher and task, work completion and refocus the student(s) if necessary; must be comfortable with using technology including ipads and various apps; support students academically and behaviorally within the classroom setting; collect data as directed by the classroom teacher; bilingual in Spanish and English.
Other duties as assigned by administration.
