Job Description
- Serve as the principal technical advisor to the Combat Systems Branch Head and Aegis Requirements Officer on the Aegis Combat/Weapon System.
- Maintain daily liaison with Aegis Requirements Officer.
- Provide program requirements management support for the following programs: Aegis Weapon/Combat System, Aegis Baselines and Capability Packages, Integrated Combat System (ICS), Common Processing System/Common Display System (CPS/CDS), MK 6 MOD X, TI-16 MOD 0/1, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and TI-12H compute infrastructures.
- Maintain familiarity with Aegis Cruiser, Destroyer, and Frigate combat systems; SPY, SPY Multi-Mission Signal Processor (MMSP); and Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) initiatives.
- Assist in supporting various Aegis and ICS IPRs, SRRs, MRRs, CDRs, TIMs, working groups, off-sites, IAMD meetings, etc. related to combat system development and system/equipment lifecycle.
- Participate in the PPBE and POM processes for the Combat System Branch. Review and comment on program Budget Exhibits, Program Readiness Reviews (PRR), and POM Issues. Review Fleet IPLs/IPCLs. Draft and review reclamas to FMB and Congressional funding Marks.
- Prepare briefs, information papers, congressional reports, letters, memos, impact statements, MOAs, meeting summaries, analyses, or other material that responds to pertinent issues relating to Combat System Branch tasking and activities.
- Prepare briefs, information papers, and memos to support Flag level briefings/meetings.
- Provide background to respond to Congressional, DoD, other Government agency, or industry requests for information. May include researching policy/procedures and providing back up analysis.
- Support the JCIDS process. May be required to assist in developing JCIDS documents (e.g. ICD, CDD, IS-CDD, RDP, CD) for Aegis and ICS combat system capabilities.
- May be required to assist with tradeoff studies and assessments or assist/participate in feasibility, rough order of magnitude, risk assessment, and concept studies.
- May be required to assist in the development of program performance metrics to include review and analyses of schedules, funding profiles, and fielding profiles.
- Assist with Ship Change Document (SCD) review in Navy Data Environment (NDE) for Combat Systems Branch.
- Monitor assigned programs and projects to measure progress towards reaching established objectives. Assess the impact and risks for program/system changes on resource plans and requirements.
- Establish and maintain contact with program office counterparts and related Navy/Government activities.
- Proficient in MS Office 2010 including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Access and Adobe Acrobat.
