The Multidisciplinary Writing Center hours are:
Monday-Thursday, 9am-7pm
Friday, 10am-3pm
These hours may change in future semesters.
Job Summary and Description
Play a crucial role in student success by working with students to identify their academic needs and provide personalized tutoring sessions.
Reports to: Varies
This position is for the Multidisciplinary Writing Center.
The Multidisciplinary Writing Center assists with any form of writing outside of the English Department, such as the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Sciences. The Center also assists with non-class writing, such as resumes, transfer essays, and scholarship essays. Experience with writing in these areas is preferred. Tutors are expected to serve students face-to-face, online chat, and via Zoom or an equivalent. Tutors are not expected to assist students with content comprehension beyond writing skills.
Copy of unofficial transcript(s) for the initial review is recommended but not required.
Candidates will need to submit transcripts to complete hiring.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree or equivalent education (60 hours) including successful completion of college-level coursework in the related field.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 1 year of tutoring, teaching or directly related experience.
- Experience working with a diverse population of students with varying backgrounds, education, and socio-economic characteristics..
