We are looking for an experienced caregiver immediately. In search of HHA’s, CNA's, and highly skilled professionals to join our non-medical home care team in the Hallam, PA area. We currently need a caregiver with significant professional and reliable experience for a client that lives in the Hallam with her husband. She is bed-bound and suffers from MS. She is a total care client and needs someone with the skills and ability to maneuver her as needed to provide professional and skillfull care in a respectful and dignified way. Meal prep, med reminders/assistance, toileting, transfers, and other activities of daily living such as bedbathing. She gets around in a wheelchair when not in bed. This is a full-time position with hours as follows: Monday-Friday 8am-3pm and if availble and possible, Saturday and Sunday for an hour or so to help with night cleanup and breakfast. The ideal candidate for this client will be very flexible and dependable. Candidate must be able to safely maneuver client if need be (approx. weight 150lbs). We are growing fast and there are many exciting opportunities for well-qualified caregivers, HHA’s, CNA's, and Senior Companions. Ideal candidates will have their own vehicle and cell phone. Caregivers, HHA’s, CNA's and Senior Companions must also speak English well; have a clean arrest record and a good driving record. Duties will include assisting with personal care, preparing, feeding, med reminders, and light housekeeping.
Our pay scale is in the top 10% in the area. We also offer bonuses that other companies do not.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to patients in a home care setting
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record patient vital signs
- Assist with mobility and transferring patients
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Follow resident rights and ensure patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is a plus
- Familiarity with working with individuals with MS or other special needs is beneficial
- Ability to transfer patient safely if needed
Skills:
- Strong patient care skills and ability to provide compassionate care
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols
- Understanding of patient rights and commitment to upholding them
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
