Professional Animal Transporter

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Transporter to join our team. As a Transporter, you will be responsible for safely transporting animals to and from Dallas Animal shelter to various locations nationwide. This is an important role that requires attention to detail and a genuine love for animals and the road.

Responsibilities:
- Safely transport animals to and from Dallas Animal Shelter to anywhere in the country as needed.
- Ensure the comfort and well-being of animals during transportation
- Follow established protocols and procedures for animal restraint and handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the transport vehicle
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding transportation schedules and any special instructions
- Provide basic care for animals during transportation, including feeding, watering, and administering medications if necessary
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the welfare of both animals and staff

Requirements:

-Must be able to drive long days and be away from home extensively.
- Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as needed
- Flexibility in working hours, as some evening or weekend shifts may be required

Must provide your own reliable vehicle(no cars or small vehicles) that can fit up to two large crates for shelter dogs going to new homes. Must have proper insurance and clean background and clean driving record. May be required to submit to a drug screening.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $300.00 - $1,000.00 per day

Expected hours: 10 – 60 per week

• Driving: 5 years (Preferred)
