Production/Dock Worker Job Summary: We are looking to fill a Production/Dock Associate position at a national manufacturer of insulation products in Byron Center, MI. Production/Dock Worker Requirements:
- Measure, cut, count and package finished product per customer work order
- Loads finished product onto trailers or flatbeds per load orientation specs
- Unload and processes scrap according to grind procedures
- Document material loss and reason
- Operator department machinery and Hilo (after company certification)
- Load materials onto the cutter machine
- Get materials as needed form the warehouse
- Switch out wire grids on the machines for the orders
- Accurately completes required production, shipping and quality records
- Willing to help in other areas and rotate positions as needed
- Willing to help in training employees as needed
Schedule & Pay:
- 1st shift: 7a-3:30p - $18/hr
- 2nd shift: 3p-11:30p - $18.75/hr
- 3rd shift: 11p-7:30a - $19/hr
Production/Dock Worker Qualifications:
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Able to communicate effectively with line leads and machine operators
- Able to read and verify paperwork
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to read tape measure/calipers and utilize metric scale
- Basic computer skills for data entry and searches
- Understand density types and distinguish between them
- Ability to push, pull and/or lift 50 pounds independently and team lift as needed
- Able to stack items overhead
- Ability to stand/walk for the entire shift
- High school diploma or GED is required
