Job Overview:
This position will report to the Production Superintendent, coordinates closely with other operators and management, and is also supported with lead technicians, engineers, safety, and other technical staff
Primary Responsibilities:

• The Production Technician will be responsible for ensuring production requirements are met and that the facility is operated in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner
• This is a front-line operations role that will respond to unplanned events, work independently as well as with a team, and make technical decisions and recommendations to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of the facility
• Works a rotating 12-hour shift and will be available for on-call duties per pre-determined schedule with other technicians. Shift overtime coverage on an as-needed basis including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be willing to work from elevated platforms, climb ladders, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and work both inside and outside in various conditions for extended periods of time
• Learn all aspects of the HyCO Production Process
• Learn and operate computer control system for the plant
• Read and interpret P&ID, equipment manuals and company procedures
• Monitor process performance and makes appropriate adjustments to remedy deviations and align to the specified norm
• Operate units to continuously supply products at the appropriate quantities and qualities safely and economically, complying with all environmental regulations and daily customer requirements
• Safely troubleshoot, maintain, and assist in the repair of mechanical systems including valves, piping, pumps, fans, motors, etc
• Perform lock-out tag-out correctly, and safely permit maintenance work, and oversee contractors as necessary
• Maintains compliance with all applicable regulatory, policy, and internal engineering standards
• Collaborates with support teams for technical assistance
• Maximizes efficiency and operating capacity of the plants
• Troubleshooting plant process & equipment problems and implementing solutions
• Maintains QA program, facilitates customer and corporate audits
• Supports fill zone activities including the filling and purging trailers into service
• Maintains documentation of equipment and process through workorders, QA, logbook etc
• Responsible for safe startup and shutdown of all process equipment and understanding of emergency procedures
• Responsible for Facility housekeeping (hoses rolled up, labeling of process, overall cleanliness, etc.)
• Use of air purifying full face respirator occasionally
• Use of chemical personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications:

High School Degree required
Process Technology or other Associate's/Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred
EXPERIENCE
2 - 5 years of experience is highly desirable in the following fields (recent graduates or soon to graduate applicants will also be considered):

• Air separation, oil refining, or similar complex process control operations
• Instrumentation and control
• General maintenance of industrial equipment
• Compressors and compressor maintenance
• Industrial mechanical maintenance
• Industrial electrical or electrician
• Industrial Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC)
• Military technical fields
• Machinist Mates, Electrician Mates, Nuclear Technician, Gas Turbine Technicians, Boiler Technicians, Cryogenic Technicians.
