Form of workAirswift is seeking a Production Technician to work in Carlsbad, NM for initially 1 year contract with our major Oil and Gas client.
The Production Tech is responsible for the maintenance and repair of production equipment. They will troubleshoot problems, diagnose equipment failures, and make repairs as needed. They will also work with other production staff to ensure that production is meeting quality and quantity goals. This is a technically demanding job that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Candidate need at least 5 years combined experience with surface equipment.
Troubleshooting Operations:
- As produced fluid flows from the wellhead through pipes and valves to separation and treatment equipment, there are numerous opportunities for malfunction.
- A pipe might leak due to corrosion, a valve could shut off because of a failed component, or a storm might have knocked over equipment.
- Identifies problems, troubleshoots, and either fixes issues personally or knows whom to call for assistance.
- Recording Production Data:
- Meticulously maintains records of production.
- They walk each site, noting numbers from various gauges and instruments that measure the wells production.
Schedule:
8/6: 10-hour rotating schedule. Employee works 10 hours for 8 days (Wednesday to Wednesday) followed by 6 days off. The work week is from Sunday to Saturday.
