About the Role
As theProduction Team Leader II in our Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Columbia, Missouri you will lead Team Members in the work center(s) on the day to day production to ensure people, quality, delivery and cost (PQDC) targets are met to achieve the customer demand and Value Stream goals. You will lead improvement efforts through the use of lean tools and techniques in the Watlow Business System (WBS) and serve as the subject matter expert on the operations in the work center(s). You will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the production process to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to delivery schedules. This leadership position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, managerial skills, and a deep understanding of the manufacturing process.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring areas are staffed accordingly, understands work flow and daily demand
  • Working with internal and external customers to meet quality guidelines and expectations by using RCCA - root cause corrective action
  • Assisting with determining scope, budget, and implementation timeframes of assigned projects
  • Developing strong relationships and provides effective communication, prioritization, and alignment
  • Serving as a mentor and role model, identifies team member development needs and provides career coaching
  • Managing time and attendance. Responsible for processing payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Collaborating with senior manager and Human Resources on team staffing decisions and employee relations
  • Lead a team of employees working during a specific shift. Provide guidance, direction, and support to team members, ensuring they perform their duties effectively.
  • Leading, participating and supporting Lean events to ensure Continuous Improvement/Lean techniques are being utilized to sustain daily operational improvement

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and/or related experience in manufacturing environment with leadership responsibilities (5-8 years)
  • Project management experience
  • Must be able to work off shift and Saturdays as required

Desired Qualifications
  • Technical certification preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels including verbal, written and email
  • Experience working with and developing teams
  • Clear understanding of "servant leadership" mentality
  • Coaching skills to develop team members in all aspects of manufacturing management
