Production Supervisor - Metal Stamping

We are seeking an Afternoon shift Production Supervisor to join our team! In this role, you will manage production employees and manufacturing processes to complete finished goods that meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule operator activities in regards to current work orders.
• Ensure that all operators have the proper equipment to perform their duties.
• Ensure operators are equipped with correct Assembly Process Map.
• Monitor safety practices/PPE usage and correct any unsafe practices.
• Ensure the identification and conformance of incoming and in-process product.
• Ensure quality check activities are performed.
• Monitor and request reorder of consumable items (weld tips, PPE etc).
• Assist with technical equipment programming, upgrades, installation etc.
• Work with Quality Manager to identify Corrective, Preventive, and Continual Improvement opportunities.
• Report any shipping delays, including incidents of premium freight, to MP&L Manager.
• Determine and provide required or supplemental training for subordinates per the Training Process.

Qualifications:

• Previous Metal Stamping experience or other related fields preferred but not necessary for the right individual.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail orientated.
• No lifting limitations.
• Multitasking required Experience in the automotive stamping industry helpful but not necessary.
• Able to be on your feet all-day.
• Good communication skills.
• Understand customer requirements, to execute control processes.
• Perform inspections, and submit data for acceptance.
• Ensure production or shipments that need to have quality issues corrected are stopped.
• Ensure in-process and final inspections are initialed and signed off at appropriate stages.
