Job Description
Experienced in Distillery production supervision preferred, bottling experience considered. Pay is flexible based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Direct workgroup or department to ensure on-time production and/or delivery.
- Operate equipment to Distill, Dilute, Filter, and other operations of the distillery.
- Elaborate SOPs for the operation
- Manage inventory of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods according to company and TTB standards.
- Train employees to produce at standard and above efficiency.
- Maintain quality standards
- Coach, mentor, and motivate employees while maintaining high employee morale and positive relationships
- Teach safe work practices, and good housekeeping procedures, and see they are adhered to
- Uphold machines and/or equipment in good repair
- Recommend changes or improvements in methods, equipment, handling, or layout
- Responsible for the accuracy of required reports and record-keeping
- Control absenteeism, scrap, and waste
- Monitors and enforces all Company, EPA, and Safety regulations and policies.
- Commitment to the Company’s ISO program including the quality and food safety of our products.
Qualifications:
- Chemical Engineer degree preferred with experience in spirits.
- Strong problem-solving capacity.
- Capable of managing a dynamic environment and stablish procedures.
- Ability to manage different projects simultaneously.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have strong math, analytical & counting skills
- Have strong computer skills
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to stand; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally required to climb or balance.
- Must be able to work in a high high-temperature environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis from floor to shoulder
- Must be able to physically navigate around a plant/production environment, including the repetitive climbing of stairs and elevated walkways.
