GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Perform sanitation and equipment set up duties on the production line.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:
- Disassemble and reassemble production filling equipment as directed/trained using hand tools.
- Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and safe at all times.
- Follow instructions and SOP's in the cleaning and sanitizing of all production equipment.
- Use only company approved cleaning chemicals per manufacturer's and company's guidelines.
- Set up production lines for specific products as directed per production schedule
- Connect product tanks with production supply lines by hand.
- Perform daily and other cleaning assignments as scheduled by supervision to maintain overall plant cleanliness.
- Performs some minor maintenance on equipment (pumps, tanks, hoses, filling hoppers) during cleaning process to maintain integrity and performance of equipment during production processes.
- Keep accurate records of all cleanings performed.
- Keep Sanitation Supervisor informed of any/all unsanitary practices that are observed or may occur at the plant.
- May perform other duties as required.
- Works cooperatively with co-workers and other departments.
- Maintains punctuality and attendance at work.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
