The expected compensation range for this position is $155,615 - $190,196, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.). As a Production Planning Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leading operational excellence in planning, scheduling, procurement, and warehouse optimization at 3M Hartford City, IN
- Contributing to strategic planning and plant-wide initiatives as a key member of the plant management team
- Collaborating with Division and Business Group partners to lead, optimize, and cultivate continuous improvement of Supply Chains & Planning within Operations
- Managing environmental, health and safety (EHS) and material flow improvements throughout the facility
- Ensuring the plant meets inventory and transportation compliance requirements.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Seven (7) years of planning experience in a manufacturing, private, public, government or military environment
- Four (4) years supervisory/managerial experience
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain/Logistics, production operations management, materials management
- Expertise equivalent to level needed to obtain professional certifications in supply chain, logistics, transportation, inventory management or related field.
- APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification
- Green Belt/Black Belt or Process Improvement Project experience
- Experience with data management systems (SAP)
- Applies broad knowledge and extensive experience in supply chain strategies and processes such as order management, demand management, six sigma and project management.
- Possesses advanced leadership skills in managing people, teams and/or projects.
- Experience in multiple division locations with hands-on experience in manufacturing & personally affective with the ability to work in matrix organization.
- Experience in data mining & analysis, using data to drive decisions.
- Able to articulate & communicate clearly (written and oral), comfortable people at various levels to learn and understand
