Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Production Painter (B) to join them. You will report to the Performance Leader and will have an onsite, 2nd Shift work schedule in East Aurora, New York.
To be considered for Production Painter (B), here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
- High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with at least one year of related experience.
- Follow strict Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company’s "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.
As a Production Painter (B), you will:
- Paint a wide variety of component parts for military, industrial, and commercial assemblies.
- Clean and "mask" most parts before painting.
- Determine quantity of paint, ratio of paint mix, and viscosity.
- Correctly interpret specification requirements to meet quality acceptance criteria.
- Prepare test panels and inspections where required for thickness and adhesion characteristics.
- Operate Ford cup viscosity check, Dermitron paint-thickness checking device, grieve oven, and a variety of paint spraying and cleaning equipment.
- Mix hazardous solutions using extreme caution to prevent fires, skin irritation problems, etc.
- Log all activity identifying lot identification details of paint mix, pot life, temperature humidity at time of painting, coat thickness, and cure cycles.
- Visually check work for surface imperfections.
- Maintain good housekeeping including filter changing.
- May process actuators post pain process to prep to ship, including applying labels, nameplates, stamps, tie-wire, clear coat touch ups, and verifying completion of paperwork.

Salary Range:
- The starting rate for this opportunity is $30.63 per hour.
- 2nd Shift employees receive 10% shift differential pay.
