Production Packer Job Summary
This labor-intensive position is responsible for ensuring producing a quality foil bag, labeling and boxing of bags. Palletizing / shrink wrapping of completed boxes. Must be able to lift 50Lbs. Requires strict attention with respect to order accuracy. Potential of becoming a Line operator.
THE SHIFTS WE HAVE AVAILABLE ARE AS FOLLOWS:
12 HOUR (AM) 7AM-7PM *Rotating Weekends/6 Hours on Wednesday*
12 HOUR (PM-Overnight) 7PM-7AM*Rotating Weekends/6 Hours on Wednesday*
Production Packer Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Production Packer Skills/Qualifications:
- Organization, Dealing with Complexity, Time Management, Process Improvement, Safety Management.
- Understanding and following work instructions
- Sets the tone by always promoting professional teamwork, a high standard for work ethic and integrity.
- Communicates and ensures all safety procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Responsible
- Be a reliable member of the team, always identifying and professionally communicating ways to improve the work environment.
- Manage company’s risks and liabilities by performing reliable problem solving skills.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing or Quality environment preferred
- Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Must be flexible with work scheduling as well as overtime
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to understand detailed written and/or oral instructions including basic mathematical skills
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis’s total compensation package. Compensation also includes a competitive benefits package and may also include bonuses, and other on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is estimated to be $17.50 per hour.
