Production & Packaging Associate (FT)

• Monitor packaging and filling operations to ensure the quality and conformity of packaged products in accordance with standards.
• Monitor the packaging production line to forestall potential bottlenecks, pileups, jams, or labels in the wrong location.
• Perform the packaging operation by product packaging specification.
• Sorts products for packaging and filling machine operation.
• Monitors production order fill rate and packaging line efficiencies.
• Replenish packaging material as needed.
• Inspect in-process packaging to ensure consistent quality and remove defective products and packaging material in the process.
• Segregate finished packaged items from machines that conform to specification and separate rejected items, conduct inventory count on finished and rejected packaged items.
• Adjust machines and equipment for smooth operations and make certain that the pre-op inspection is complete before start-up.
• Monitor the packaging production line to forestall potential bottlenecks, pileups, jams, or labels in the wrong location and set-up and change over machines for product run.
• Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed.
• Visually inspect production run and document results.
• Determine and report malfunctions to appropriate parties.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area.
• Must work closely with blenders, other filler operators, and packaging.
• All documentation must be accurate and done timely. Must follow GMP, Safety, SOP, and HACCP procedures.
• Meet all Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Practices safety requirements established by OSHA and the company.
• Any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

• Responsible for setting up machinery and ensuring all production materials are available.
• Required to assist the quality lab with samples related to the blending process and log them manually and/or electronically.
• Available to work extended shifts and days per company and production needs.
• Team player.
• Ability to stand for a prolonged time throughout shift.
• Able to speak, read, and write English language – preferred.
• Must report on time to work.
• Clean Criminal Background.
• Must attend orientation.
