Production Packaging - 1st Shift

Packaging Team Job Description
Ornua Ingredients North America custom formulates and manufactures a complete line of pasteurized process cheese products. We are looking for an energetic, fast-paced, hardworking and reliable employee to join our Packaging team!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean equipment and work areas, to include the laboratory, production and all other areas assigned using chemical cleaning solutions, hand tools and pressurized sanitation equipment.
• Inspect sanitation work and follow up as appropriate to ensure that all operating and sanitation standards have been met to ensure a safe and effective on time start of production and processing equipment.
• Sets up the stacking area at the start of the production shift, including the stacker table or the EZ Lift Machine
• Assist Line Leaders with Change Overs
• Assist the Line Leaders with setting up and tearing down the line at the beginning and end of the production shift
• Checks that the proper labeling and jet printing is on each finished package
• Records the number of cases and the skid number for each completed pallet
• Retrieves Q.A. samples and records the case number, time and employee's initials
• Personnel in the Stacker position are responsible for stacking the finished goods into a container or onto a skid
• Required to follow all good manufacturing practices and demonstrate/practice safe work habits.

Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent
• Excellent Team Player Works well with others
• Ability to multi-task effectively
