Production / Operations Manager
The Production / Operations Manager will be the primary supervisor on performance days, overseeing and coordinating with the lead workers of Technical, FOH, Security, Box Office, Maintenance - while maintaining primary contact with the incoming show. This role will be responsible for maintaining the highest quality of technical and venue operations, managing event and building maintenance vendors, overseeing all technical production activities, advancing and coordinating all incoming shows, accomplishing all management duties in accordance with company guidelines and timelines, enforcing company policies, and contributing to company growth.

Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with owners in making important policy, planning, and strategy decisions by making independent judgments and evaluations of company policies, operational guidelines and staff. Suggest needed changes and implement them as directed.
- Perform on-site production manager duties during all shows. Perform all functions as necessary for the show. These include oversight of all production and venue operations: stage management, lighting, sound, video, rigging systems, managing setup, load-in and strike, and any other physical involvement needed for successful operations.
- Supervise, manage, and oversee venue staff and vendors – ensuring a safe and positive work environment and that company policies and guidelines are enforced.
- Make every effort to stay within the budget for each and every show. Make clients aware of probable overages before they occur in accordance with company policies.
- Attend and facilitate meetings, and tech scouts with incoming shows.
- Actively initiate communication with all shows, discuss venue production capabilities and policies, create production schedules, book equipment vendors, prepare estimates, and communicate information with staff vendors, and owners.
- Delegate and or complete any drawings / plots needed to accomplish show responsibilities.
- Make technical decisions in accordance with the engagement's operational and budget needs and find technical solutions as issues arise.
- Establish and maintain a professional level of expertise in the systems of the venue. These include technical systems (lighting, sound, video) and building operations systems (HVAC, IT, cameras, electrical).
- Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- Initiative, organization, communication, commitment.
- Computer knowledge of Google workspace applications, internet, email, and organizational software.
- Professional communication, appearance, organizational skills, initiative.
- Positive attitude and ability to follow explicit instructions from the owners.
- Discretion and independent judgment.
- Expert level knowledge of production management, technical systems and venue operations.
- Ten years of experience working in production is required.
The position will begin with a 6 month probationary contract period which can then move to a FT salaried position after successfully completing the initial contract.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
