Production Operations Lead

Production Flow Lead opportunity for a contract role with Yoh’s client located in Las Vegas, NV
Position Overview: As a 3rd Shift Flow Leader, you will be at the forefront of our production process, overseeing the remanufacture of traction motor combos and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role is ideal for a motivated leader with a strong background in manufacturing, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
What you’ll be doing:

• Safety Leadership: Monitor and enforce safety procedures to maintain a secure workplace.
• Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of remanufacturing technicians on the 3rd shift, overseeing hiring, training, evaluations, and performance counseling.
• Customer Focus: Drive customer satisfaction through a detailed focus on product reliability and providing direction and support for the production team.
• Production Planning: Develop and execute production plans based on customer requirements, manpower, equipment availability, and part availability.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead and support continuous improvement activities to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Ownership and Accountability: Take ownership of equipment, key manufacturing processes, and overall productivity on the shift.
• Communication and Problem-Solving: Communicate effectively with the work group, addressing issues and concerns in a timely manner, and troubleshoot operational problems.
• Employee Development: Develop and execute training plans for operators to optimize resource usage and ensure skills alignment.
• Cultural Development: Promote a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and collaborative problem-solving.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering/Maintenance/Technical discipline or High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes.
• Strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing concepts preferred.

Desired Characteristics:

• Experience in a remanufacturing facility.
• Proactive attitude with a sense of urgency.
• Strong hands-on experience and the ability to teach and guide team members.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Work Schedule: 3rd Shift Schedule
Pay Rate: $25-29 per hour
