Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
Review, analyze, and develop staffing plans; Ensure staffing levels are evaluated and positions are filled and create then communicate work schedules
Ensure production goals meet customer delivery schedules with maximum efficiency at minimum cost.
Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Maintain machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
Create and execute operating and capital plans and budgets and monitor performance against plans, budgets and KPI’s; Process Yield, Downtime, Overtime, On-Time Shipments
Identify areas of improvement, create improvement plans and set production goals and completions dates; Cost Reduction, Cost Avoidance, Capacity Improvement and other KPIs assigned.
Conduct Teammate evaluations and establish skills development and training; Turnover, % Cross-Training (Flexibility)
Manage all facets of company policy, production organization, human resource development, commitments and responsibilities, standards of performance, safety, and relationships within production
Responsible for Performance Reviews, 6S Audit Results and that customer production requirements are met
Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
Resolve worker grievances or submit unsettled grievances to Human Resources for proper resolution.
Compile, store and analyze production data.
Manage the production team to coordinate and cooperate smoothly with engineering, facilities engineering & management, quality assurance, and technology/product development.
Closely collaborate with Production Development, Sales, Business Development, R&D / Technology, and Engineering in the design and development of new products.
Ensure that a safe and clean work environment is maintained and supports all safety improvement goals set by the corporation and that all Teammates follow these and industry standard health and safety guidelines
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Minimum 5 years related experience in Production manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess strong analytical skills; metric driven individual
Strong understanding of leading, managing and directing all production activities
Expertise with reporting production policies, goals and objectives to Board of Directors and CEO
Create a work environment and culture that promotes quality and efficiency and ensures continuous improvement
Pay Details: $95,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
