Responsibilities
• Manage and optimize the production processes to meet quality standards and production targets
• Oversee the coordination and scheduling of production activities to ensure timely delivery of customer orders
• Develop and implement strategies for improving productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and quality assurance, to maintain a smooth operation
• Hire, train, and supervise production staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their roles effectively
• Analyze production data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Develop and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards or violations
• Maintain and update safety records, including incident reports, training documentation, and safety manuals
• Manage and oversee the hazardous waste disposal process, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and proper handling and disposal methods
• Conduct risk assessments and evaluate workplace hazards to develop and implement appropriate control measures
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in production management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling principles
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Proficient in using production management software and tools
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a production environment
• In-depth knowledge of local and federal environmental regulations and safety standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train employees and collaborate with cross-functional teams
