Action Pak Inc.is a contract packaging company located in Camden, NJ and is seeking a Production Mechanic to work on packaging and filling machines. Our business started in 1979 and is experiencing great growth. We recently moved to our new state of the art facility. Packaging Mechanic will report to the Plant Manager and be part of the Production Team. The individual will provide full technical support to production area including, but not limited to, equipment repair, equipment set up, ensuring quality expectations and monitoring & repairing multiple packaging machines for proper operation. Hours are flexible; however, it is necessary to be dependable and reliable.
Primary Responsibility:
- Hands on with various automated equipment, including packaging machines, pumps, liquid & powder fillers, conveyors & heat shrink tunnels
- Knowledge of 3 phase powered equipment 480V and 208V
- Use of all basic tools
- Able to troubleshoot from electrical diagrams and other documentation.
- Able to measure current and voltage with a DVM.
- Use & troubleshooting PLC equipment and other industrial controls is a plus
Job Requirements
- Minimum of two-years related experience
- Able to follow all safety rules
- Good understanding and knowledge of packaging equipment operation and setups
- Ability to trouble shoot equipment
- Be able to read and comprehend explicit instructions and schematics.
- Possess good math skills and attention to detail.
- Learn then demonstrate the ability to make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products.
- Able to work independently and as a team member.

Salary: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
