How do you fit in?
The Production Lead provides leadership support as it pertains to packaging operations and coordination of labor and machinery in assigned production areas.
Do you have what it takes?
- Interface and collaborate with production and support functions to lead operational and personnel goals to ensure efficient operating shifts.
- Coordinate labor based on machine scheduling to meet production needs.
- Supports production flow, output and quality standards.
- Review and audit production reports with area supervisor to facilitate resolution of operational, manufacturing and maintenance issues to prevent operational delays to mitigate unnecessary costs.
- Analyze and audit production goal objectives.
- Clearly communicate expectations to ensure compliance with operational needs.
- Lead personnel and operations to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Participate in problem solving activities.
- Ensure training and validation for production team members.
- Uphold and support organizational goals and views.
- Perform various team duties as needed to meet production demands.
- Maintain proper housekeeping throughout all areas and keep work area and equipment neat and clean.
- Follow all safety processes and procedures.
- Attend work regularly as scheduled.
- Responsible for reporting food safety problems to management.
- Demonstrate commitment to following all processes and procedures and Airlite Core Values.
- Effectively communicates with area supervisor.
- Other duties and audits as assigned.
- A minimum of six months of demonstrated successful experience meeting manufacturing and quality standards.
- Certification on multiple platforms preferred.
- Passing of the Munsel Hue Color Assessment.
- Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Capability to utilize problem solving skills.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects/activities/goals.
- Must be able to work well with others, build partnerships and support team members.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain regular attendance.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and tactful in dealing with people at all levels.
- Must be self-motivated and positive.
