Job Type: Full-time Hourly
Salary: $23.16 to $23.16 hourly

GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:

As a member of the team, you will be relied upon to achieve optimum productivity while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This is a full-time entry-level position on a continuous, 27/7 paper machine operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for all entry-level tasks in each department.
• Assist production crew in preparing/finishing product for shipments.
• Maintain a clean work environment at all times.
• Perform equipment wash ups on monthly basis.
• Assist paper machine during conditions upsets.
• Shovel snow & apply salt/sand as needed.
• All other duties as requested by the supervisor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Routinely lift 50#
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle or feel.
• Stand for extended periods of time on concrete.
• Occasionally handle 55-gallon drums (500 lbs.)
• Frequent ladder, stair, and confined space usage
• Must be capable of being qualified as a mobile equipment operator (minimum of spotter tractor, clamp truck, fork truck)
• Must be able & willing to work stationary and/or rotating shifts as the need arises
• Must wear minimum PPE of steel-toed shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• 20F to 120F frequent exposure
• Up to 100% RH
• Noise levels in excess of 80dB
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Must pass and maintain mobile equipment certifications for:
  • Clamp truck

  • Fork truck

  • Spotter tractor

  • All other mobile equipment required to perform tasks
