Production Intern

PRODUCTION INTERN – PAID – HIRING IMMEDIATELY – PART-TIME – 2nd SHIFT – NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE - Our Production Interns typically work 4 evenings a week from 4:00 - 10:00 p.m. We offer adjustable schedules to accommodate school work and extra-curricular activities.

Our Production Intern will be trained in areas such as the following:

• Reading blueprints to see how to build various parts/sub-assemblies
• Clocking in/out of jobs in the production management software
• Delivering parts & supplies to assembly areas
• Making door gaskets for warmers
• Spot welding/fabricating structural components to which control panels, blower motors, etc. are mounted
• Operating production equipment such as water jet cutter
• Deburring and polishing parts
• Packaging units for shipment around the globe

Qualification, Knowledge and Skills Preferred but NOT REQUIRED:

• Classes/experience in welding
• Classes/experience with measuring (to 1/32"), cutting, forming/bending tubing and/or sheet metal
• Basic proficiency with hand/pneumatic/power tools
• Coachable/willing to learn & follow directions
• Ability to follow safe work practices
• Reliable
• Team player who can work effectively with others

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must frequently lift and /or move up to 15 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. There are no special vision requirements for this job.

SCHEDULES
Must be able to work 4:00 pm -10:00 pm Monday-Thursday, and some Saturday mornings 6:00 am - 11:00 am. Opportunity to work 40 hours per week during summer months.
