Shop Foreman (Sheet Metal Fab exp req) Description

Our client is looking for a Sheet Metal Worker to be their new Shop Foreman / Production Manager North of Seattle, WA. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating daily production activities required to produce jobs/products in an HVAC Sheet Metal manufacturing environment. You will act as the shop leader for “Lean Innovation” and will work closely with the other managers of the company to carry out the policies and goals, including customer service, purchasing, scheduling, and shipping. To be successful in this role, you must have prior experience in HVAC Sheet Metal Fab. Ideal candidates will be experienced managers with exposure to a variety of different fab departments. Shop Foreman (Sheet Metal Fab exp req) Responsibilities

● Lead and manage fab production and resources
● Monitor the production run to ensure it stays on schedule and
● Correct any production problems that may arise
● Coordinate with Production Scheduler for optimum workflow efficiency
● Determine which machines will be used for a given production schedule
● Advise the GM if new machines need to be purchased or repaired
● Incorporate cross-training and continued coaching to maximize human production resources
● Adjust production levels and staffing to quickly react to changing customer demands
● Maintain a “Pull System” to minimize inventory levels
● Practice Lean 3S (sort, sweep, and standardize) daily and provide a safe workplace
● Audit employees’ hours, PTO, changes, etc. in payroll software
● Coordinate with the HR Director to interview and make hiring decisions

Shop Foreman (Sheet Metal Fab exp req) Qualifications

● 4+ years of Sheet Metal Fabrication experience required
● HVAC Duct Fabrication experience required
● Working knowledge and familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles required
