POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To provide new property casualty policy development support by working with clients, prospects, agents, and solicitors to assist in the development of the Fuerstenau Burkett Agency book of business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Enter new prospect data in Sales Force Customer Management
  • Research and gather details on the features and characteristics of the proposed autos, property, and buildings to be insured
  • Research the appropriate coverage plans with Farm Bureau Insurance and/or FB Partners products
  • Produce Replacement Cost estimates using RCT Express and Commercial Express
  • Produce preliminary and final quotes
  • Review preliminary and final quotes with the Production Department Manager, appropriate agent, or solicitor
  • Schedule follow-up appointments with clients, agents, and solicitors
  • Provide draft applications to Production Department Manager, agents, and solicitors, and/or produce final applications
  • Communicate and work with banks, mortgage loan officers, processors, and auto sales representatives to provide the appropriate documentation for property or auto purchase closings
  • Order property photos and upload once available
  • Organize the final applications and supporting documents to bind and process
  • Assist with FB Partners Renewals
  • Monitor BOP/CUP renewals
  • Re-quote existing policies per agent reviews
  • Assist in issuing certificates using the CSR24 system
  • Communicate with clients, prospects, agents, and solicitors concerning all facets of the property or liability exposure they seek to insure
  • Collect premium payments directly from the client or over the phone and following established guidelines for money handling
  • Keep an accurate log of both incoming and outgoing calls
  • Keep an up-to-date tracking book for ongoing assignments
  • Check Guidewire activities daily for updates
  • Make permanent files
  • Prepare files for insurance reviews

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
  • Receive inquiries and answer questions from clients, members, and prospects.
  • Take messages for agents and staff per office protocol.
  • Set appointments as needed for clients, members, and prospective clients with agents, producers, and solicitors using appropriate notification protocol and agency electronic calendar format.
  • Pursue position-related training and education including the maintenance of a Michigan Property/Casualty License through agency approved continuing education courses.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings.
  • Assist with the completion of special projects as requested.
  • Understand job functions, identify problems, and seek improvements.
  • Keep abreast of changes as they relate to the job function and maintain job documentation necessary to complete tasks.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of forms needed to perform job functions.
  • Maintain company standards for production and accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Some College
Michigan Property Casualty license
Experience: Basic Computer knowledge. One to three years of general work experience preferred. Previous insurance experience or training preferred but not required.
Other Requirements: Customer service skills. Well organized, accurate, and dependable. Ability to work harmoniously with a variety of personalities. Good use of discretion and sound judgment. Confidence in relating to people. Maintain confidentiality of insureds personal and business information.
