In this position...
Production Crew Manager for off shift operations. Complete responsibility for Production, Maintenance and Engineering activity on the afternoon shift. Requires production, technical and management experience in high volume, fast paced manufacturing environment. This position is development assignment in preparation for Area Manager position.
Primary role is on afternoon shift (2:30 pm-10:30 pm), but flexibility to work any shift is required.
You'll have...
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years experience in manufacturing operations management
- Previous experience in both maintenance and production is preferred
- Experience working in a union environment

- 6-sigma designation preferred
- Strong analytical skills and quick decision making capability preferred
- Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)

What you'll do...
- Full operational responsibility for all aspects of the plant on the afternoon shift
- Implement the Ford Production System operating systems and processes to global manufacturing standards
- The ability to use FIS to analyze the data to drive constraint management
- Understanding of MOS and the ability to drive MTTR & MTBR
- The passion to embrace technology with data at your fingertips & getting the teams to use the technology
- Monitor and confirm that manufacturing operating system standards are being applied and adhered to throughout the area
- Develop, coach, and support to achieve SQDCPME objectives
- Coach, teach, provide support (funding, resources, etc.) and feedback on resolution of abnormalities (ANDON), and validate closure of concerns
- Drive continuous improvement on systemic abnormalities across the entire organization
- Provide necessary resources to maintain production flow and confirm critical inputs are being performed to the acceptable standard(s)
- Adhere to Time & Data Management to promote, support, and coach a continuous improvement mindset and activities in the team
- Evaluate and validate the effectiveness of work plans, and ensure the team is executing to meet the objectives / measurable
- Enable a culture of learning through demonstration of effective communication skills
- Respect and encourage respect of all team members by my actions
- Develop 'Leaders as Teachers' at all levels. Ensure employees receive the necessary training, coaching and experiences to raise the performance level and advance the organization.
