Job Overview
Job Title: Production Coordinator
Market: Hemmings
Location: Hybrid/Work from Home
Reports to: Director of Programming
Job Summary:
The Production Coordinator is a full-time, salaried, regular position that collaborates with the Director of Programming at Hemmings. This role is instrumental in ensuring and supporting the success of Hemmings' digital programming calendar and series productions. Responsibilities include providing administrative support across various aspects of Hemmings programming and series creation, such as datalogging, monitoring performance analytics, program scheduling, and managing media vendor and production deliverables. Additionally, this role involves facilitating communication between external production partners, online personalities, sales, and internal senior staff.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing all aspects of production partner deliverables, including but not limited to:
  • Uploading episodic content to select video platforms, creating thumbnails, managing data and description files, and handling social media posts and video shorts in concert with our vendor partners i.e. Wildlives Media.
  • Implementing Hemmings' video content strategy on various media platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Managing digital scheduling and delivery of 3rd party deliverables related to Hemmings' video efforts.
  • Project and resource management for all stages of production, from pre-production to on-site production, to final wrap-up.
  • Facilitate and manage communication relating to the delivery of footage from live shoot to post-production producer.
  • Collecting and utilizing data analytics for presentation and market purposes along with a keen understanding of YouTube and other video platform extensions.
  • Ensuring all video and media content is uploaded to hosting outlets according to timelines set by the Director of Programming and senior staff.
  • Providing project management support for client programs in coordination with Hemmings' sales department.
  • Upkeep tracking documents and communicate project updates to key stakeholders including creative directors, editors, assistant editors, motion graphics artists, finishers, along with editorial asset delivery for PR, digital and print purposes with the ability to deliver final assets to interdepartmental stakeholders.

Leading the development of cross-platform video production programs for Hemmings clients, including:
  • Creating proposals for both aftermarket and OEM clients as they pertain to Hemmings video properties.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Programming and SVP of Media to execute production contracts and articles of execution for partnered production companies and talent.
  • Develop marketing materials, such as PowerPoint decks for Hemmings presentations related to video proposals and outgoing RFPs.
  • Ability to support and develop strategic partnerships across Hemmings.
  • Assisting the sales team with client-specific proposals and presentations.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with senior staff and outside media clients/agencies.
  • Overseeing campaigns from start to finish, including kick-off calls, mid-campaign calls, and wrap-up calls as they pertain to Hemmings video properties.

Skills & Experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of YouTube, YouTube best practices, Vimeo, and upload procedures.
  • Proficiency in Mac OS, MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, MS SharePoint, Slack, and basic Photoshop skills.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking abilities.
  • Working understanding of video file formats, codecs, aspect ratios, and other common video specifications
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple assignments under tight deadlines and prioritize effectively.
  • Diplomacy and tact in interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to prioritize day-to-day and long-term projects and responsibilities.
  • Strong oral and written communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate best practices and requirements to peers, management, and external partners.
  • Proofreading and editorial skills, a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Education/Experience:
  • Relevant experience in video and production support and a genuine enthusiasm for the automotive category.
  • Bachelor's degree in digital media, marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience or education in Online or Broadcast Video, Advertising, or Marketing.
  • 3+ years of experience or education in YouTube/Social/Digital/Online Media/Technology.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Experience in scheduling a digital channel.
  • A passion for consuming content across various forms and platforms.
  • Familiarity with auto-related content.
  • A deep passion for cars.
