Company:
Keyland Polymer UV Powder, LLC is a division of Keyland Polymer Material Sciences, LLC (KPMS). KPMS is a vertically integrated specialty chemical company with five operating divisions one of which is in Spain. The company is continuing to experience rapid accelerating growth and is seeking to fill an important production planning/material management position.
The Company’s focus is the development, formulation, manufacturing, and application of ultraviolet (UV) light cured solid materials. These materials include resins, powder coatings, specialty materials, and additives that are used in a variety markets and products including powder paint, inks, additives, 3D/additive manufacturing, and others. KPMS operates a robust research and development program that supports its operating companies’ manufacturing activities. The company’s primary business activities are domestic. The company has an ongoing capital investment in Spain to take advantage of developing market opportunities in Europe. KMPS has 25 employees in U.S. and Europe.
Responsibilities:
Manage the company’s Production and Materials planning including:
o Work with Operations Manager to complete Production and Materials planning.
o Weekly Production and Materials planning schedule.
o Create and maintain software documents such as purchase orders, sales orders, etc. using ERP software.
o Plan and prioritize production operations, determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand insuring maximum performance with minimal downtime/delay. Identify and communicate production constraints and/or material shortages to the Operations Manager to plan adjustments.
o Assign machine operators and other staff to appropriate production operation, scheduling shifts according to production needs.
o Monitor jobs to ensure they finish on time, within quality specification, addressing issues as they arise and coordinating adjustments.
o Review completed batch sheets for approval, tally production output data in the production log.
o Maintain the production log, prepare and submit status and performance reports.
o Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, and other staff.
o Maintain inventory of raw materials (i.e. safety stocks, reorder quantities, FIFO, material replacements, lot tracking, etc.). Place and coordinate orders for raw materials from suppliers. Develop and maintain relationships with raw materials suppliers/distributors.
o Regularly evaluate raw material pricing to ensure competitive costs and optimize material purchases by pricing.
o Complete end of the month and end of the year inventory assessments, assuring accuracy of count and value.
o Keep paperwork and documentation in order and updated.
o Other tasks and responsibilities to be determined.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production and Materials scheduling/planning. Attention to detail is critical. Experience with ERP and Microsoft Office 365. Ability to work as a team member and independently. College degree desired. Six sigma and/or lean six sigma is considered a plus.

This is a full-time position. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Benefits include company sponsored healthcare, holidays, and vacations. Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
