Job Purpose
This position will identify concerns/problems on Honda/Acura test units based on applied test modes. Engineers will identify quality related problems on automobiles and communicate these concerns to Honda designers, factories, and suppliers.
Key Accountabilities
- Support problem analysis to identify facts and determine likely cause of Completed Body Unit (CBU) problems.
- Documentation and issuance of problem reports to be shared with respective plants/divisions.
- Provide technical analysis support for the respective plants/divisions/suppliers for respective identified concerns.
- Promote the documentation and closure of the CBU problem.
- Support assigned model activities, reporting, and team cooperation within the group.
- Study new technology change points in support of New Model (NM) product confirmation activity.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's or associate degree in related subject (engineering, engineering technology, etc.) or equivalent related experience.
- 0-6 years of related quality engineering experience based on education.
- Automotive technician skills/knowledge preferred, but not required.
Working Conditions
- Local travel between plants/buildings on Ohio’s campus will be required
- Periodic travel to work in hot & cold testing environments as required for automobile validation.
- Expected 5-10 hours overtime per week as needed
- Hybrid work style – up to 40% remote work
