Position Summary
The Product Trainer will primarily be responsible for facilitating live virtual training sessions and webinars for new and existing Virtuous clients. This role also includes occasional travel and facilitation of live, in-person training sessions. As an internal product expert, the Product Trainer will also be expected to contribute to support documentation and training content, including video e-learning courses, and offer support to internal teams as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Understand the capabilities of our products and effectively relay complex information to customers and internal staff.
  • Develop, execute, and track progress on custom training plans for customers based on their unique needs, ensuring timely completion.
  • Deliver workshops (about 12 hours/week) and webinar sessions on key functions, applications, and best practices for multiple Virtuous products with excellent clarity and quality
  • Create, modify, and optimize training materials, including support articles, infographics, and video content, adhering to relevant style guides.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts for technical training development.
  • Assist with curriculum development.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
You Must Have
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in instructional design, education, training, or related field
  • Experience teaching or conducting technical training in classrooms or a customer-facing role
  • An understanding of adult learning theory and concepts
  • Outstanding organizational, presentation, and communication skills, including verbal, written, and visual
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to quickly absorb and understand new information
  • A passion for innovation and helping nonprofits succeed
  • An ongoing curiosity to learn about our products, our customers, and the nonprofit sector
Nice to Have
  • An understanding of the nonprofit sector and the needs of nonprofit organizations across multiple verticals
  • Experience with Zendesk, Camtasia, Zoom Webinar, Hubspot, Miro, Genial.ly, Canva, and/or Chameleon
  • Experience with nonprofit CRMs, fundraising and events software, integrations and APIs, querying and reporting, and nonprofit best practices
  • Comfort with data and spreadsheets
  • Baseline knowledge of SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS
